Misty Island Revisited

Fog erases slowly. First the water, then the shore, then the trees, until all that remains is a single red boathouse, insisting on its own existence against a blue that is indifferent to it.

I made this image in coastal Connecticut, minutes from where I used to live. The sublime, it turns out, doesn't require distance. It requires patience.
