Do you have a basic understanding of photography, but want to learn how to take your photos to the next level?
Photography is the art of visual storytelling. The word derives from the Greek "photo" (light) and "graph" (to draw). Every great photo has a story to tell. This workshop will help you discover and share that story. Designed for the beginner to intermediate photographer, this workshop is devoted to understanding and practicing composition. Without doing anything technical with your camera, we will first learn how to identify the key components of composition - including the "lead and supporting actors" - and arrange them in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
We will then explore the three fundamental elements of creating a photo - aperture, shutter speed, and ISO - and how to use them to our advantage in the creation of our story. As the sun begins to set, we will wrap up our workshop by putting together everything we've learned to create a compelling sunset story.
Who is this for?
